Visualizing Retrograde Motion of Planets
Planets appear to move in a retrograde motion from the Earth's point of view. We demonstrate why the planets appear to move in a retrograde motion using a diagram and an animation of the motion of the planet. Also interesting is that the planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune change from direct motion to retrograde motion at particular angular distances from the Sun, as follows: Jupiter: 120 degrees (1/3 of a circle) Saturn: 108 degrees: (3/10 of a circle) Uranus: 103 degrees (2/7 of a circle) Neptune: 102 degrees (2/7 of a circle) We look at information produced by the Sirius 2.0 software that confirms these observations. The Sirius astrology software is developed and copyrighted by Cosmic Patterns Software and the company website is http://www.AstroSoftware.com
