MRI: Basic Physics & a Brief History
This lesson describes the basic physics of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and relevant terms such as T1 & T2 relaxation, pulse sequence, frequency and phase encoding, T1WI and T2WI. Introduces the landmark papers of Drs. Damadian and Lauterbur that made magnetic resonance imaging a reality.
