I am in my 33rd year in science education and my 7th year at La Salle High School, Pasadena. I have spent the last twenty years as the science department chair and I have taught Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy and Environmental Science. I am a National Presenter with BER for "Flip" Your Science Instruction Seminars. I am a certified Smart Notebook trainer and have spent the last five years training other teachers in the utilization of SMART Boards and SMART Notebook. I am passionate about teaching and learning. I love to share what I do in the classroom and have presented workshops on "Flipping Your Science Classroom", "Dynamic Teaching in the Block Schedule", "Teaching to the Left and Right Brain", and "Teaching the Six C's (Think Critically, Communicate Clearly, Work Collaboratively, Embrace Culture, Develop Creativity and Utilize Connectivity) in Science" and "Low Budget Manipulatives for Teaching Stoichiometry."
